"Why I Write" Blogfest, hosted by Kayeleen Hamblin of Kayeleen's Creation Corner... Thanks Kayeleen! I remember like it was yesterday, I was just a young boy who was very nerdy and anxiously ready to catch the bus for school in the morning. I didn't need anyone to tell me that an education was important. It was already built into my brain like a memory card implemented into my frontal and temporal lobes.
9 Comments At the current moment I have been so busy that I have not been able to really sit at my laptop and write. I have written down on my dry erase board and cell phone some excerpts to my WiP Novel and WiP Poetry folders... There is a lot of situations occurring which will be great material once I have time to put them in my manuscripts. How are your WiP's going? It has been quite a while since I've been able to write a review subjecting a book in my ever-growing library. Needless to say, I was not disappointed at all by the latest book I was read in its entirety.
This blog post will be short, sweet and simple! I am in full fledge with all of my WiP Folders. I am looking to revise my memoir (haha I knew this was going to come)! I have to go... If I stay here too long, the ideas may leave my mind and never see the day of light. :) After many months of Recipe in Development days here and there, some hits, and some misses, I finally found hit my stride.
Summer bestowed it's existence and purpose on why I should show some more appreciation and gratitude for what it has to offer. For the past few weeks, I have began my little herb garden on my patio. I currently have a green/purple basil plant, a tuscan rosemary plant and a parsley plant. Wednesday continually tend to sneak upon me. So I have a simple solution. Just schedule WiP Wedensday on my iPAD2! DUH! Okay now for the updates.......
WiP Poetry Folder: I am anxious to post "Stage Performer" (see last week's WiP Update about it), I just want it to be as perfect as possible. Hopefully I can find that perfection spot and post it soon! I also have a few other ideas in mind, but no definite titles as of yet. Today I’m off of work, and my plans were simple… Finish catching up on my blogs; Finish reading Garlic And Sapphires by Ruth Reichl; and construct some more recipes in my Recipe Development book.
As I read one of my favorite bloggers Sally Darling’s post “Mood Lighting….. Say Hello To My Little Friend, the Mason Jar” followed by viewing Alice Carrier’s blog header from "Bread & Honey" a light bulb clicked above my head! I should definitely go to Creative Land (aka Hobby Lobby; yeah I reversed the name, but call it what you wish…. To-may-toe…. To-mah-toe). What do I have for you.... An update with minimal progress. With all of life slowing down just a tad bit, I decided to take a few days off of writing. I was going to write some poems and more to my novel, but ended up with a horrible migraine... canceling out all motivation to write. No worries, I chimed in on my first #ninjachat (view previous post "#ninowrimo" for more info) and I really like it! I should be back up and writing within the next few hours. But for now, I'm just going to enjoy pool side fun with a few friends. I mean, I've worked hard enough, and everyone says I should take a break..... Well here it is! How are all of your WiP's going? |
