Yes, I did create my own "Challenge Accepted" meme for this post. However I am going to keep it relatively short here.

It's here! 2013 is finally upon us and I have been anxiously awaiting for this year sin May 2012. Since the world didn't end like the Mayans said that it would, I kind of cheated by planning ahead. You know, just in case the time arose (sorry Mayans, but I am happy that you were wrong... like always)!

When I entered 2012, I opened up the door with a list of goals in my hand. This is the year I planned on accomplishing every dream for an entire year and I did just that.

NaNoWriMo started yesterday and now I only have 505 words written so far. Below the average so far, I just have to adjust myself to the time that I do have in between my work schedule. I practically have the book written in my head. Today I woke up later than I should have as I found my phone/alarm far away from me and didn't hear it go off.

My goal for Day 3 tomorrow is to knock out 10,000 words after work in the morning. As for today, I will have added 0 words because I am heading to work in 2 hours and have some other business to tend to disabling me to write anything.

How are your novels coming along Wrimos?

With NaNoWriMo being less than 11 hours away USA (CST) I have created my playlist of music that I will listen to for the next month while writing 50,000+ words for my romance novel. I could not limit myself to just specific songs so I will just let you know of every artist/band that I will listen to.

Taylor Swift
Evanescence
Michael Buble
Train
Circa Survive
Blake Shelton
Miranda Lambert
Falling In Reverse
Lana del Ray
Lacuna Coil
Within Temptation

Wrimos... share what artists/bands/music will you be listening to during NaNoWriMo this year. Get ready because literary abandon is upon us!

I will also post a new blog post every day on my progress, word found, struggles and all that mumbo jumbo. :)

While I wanted to take just a short break from blogging to take care of some personal issues here in Chicago, I ended up taking an extended break as sickness took over my body. Being sick for the past few days actually turned out to be a good thing.

Since I lost track of time last week and missed WiP Wednesday this week I am combining the two weeks to catch everyone up to speed.

For the past two weeks I have been working on ideas for implementing photography into my novels. There has been some interest for me to do coffee table books related with art photos. I am pretty excited about that! Someone found me through a mutual friend and asked if I have any coffee table books in the works/available. Yes I am working on a variety of new photos just for those projects, I have a few ideas in mind and need to sketch them out and test shoot them.

Today is also NaNoPrepDay! A day all of us Wrimos have been waiting for. I have a lot of coffee beans at my disposal to drink (because I know I will need a lot of caffeine in my system for the late night writing that is soon to come).

So as you can tell, I have a few projects in the works and photography has been the main focus for the past two weeks. Next week I think I may release a sneak peak video trailer of the novel I plan on writing for NaNoWriMo!

How are your WiP's going?

It has been a while since I have done one of these. Maybe I shouldn't let life get so out of control that I begin to lose myself.

The process of finally finishing building my bookshelf/ My Instagram... @KenonLamontThompson
Remember that whole moving to Chicago thing that I have been asking about for so long? Well... I finally made it happen! Let me be honest, this entire transition from Denver, Colorado to Kansas City, KS and now Chicago, Illinois has been the hardest situation I have ever had to deal with in my life.

Between my transition from Denver, CO to Kansas City, KS has made it extremely hard for me to write anything. So I am here to answer a few questions as well as update you all on the book projects I am working on.
